Meet Our Therapists at Whole Family Therapy LLC

Heather Wyatte, LMFT

  • When we aren’t home snuggling with our two pups, my husband and I often spend time with our beloved nieces and nephew. In addition to visits with family and friends, I enjoy reading, puzzles and games, travel, working out, and walks with my dogs. Multiple times throughout the year, I love to visit the Jersey Shore. As a Philly sports fan, I enthusiastically root for the Phillies, the Eagles, and the 76ers. And every fall I compete in a couple Fantasy Football leagues.

  • Reaching out for support takes courage, especially when life feels particularly heavy, busy, or unclear. You deserve a moment to pause, feel genuinely heard and understood, express your authentic self, and process what you have been carrying without the pressure of having it all figured out. Therapy is your time, a safe space to turn off the noise and hear yourself think. Together, we can figure out how to handle life's challenges on your own terms.

I view therapy as a collaborative process that honors your lived experience while helping you reconnect with your values, strengths, and inner resilience. My approach is strengths based, holistic, and rooted in the humanistic belief that we are all capable of growth, healing, and learning how to navigate the world in a way that works best for us. I draw from a variety of evidence based practices that allow me to best tailor therapy to the person’s strengths and needs.

I work with individuals across the lifespan, with a particular focus on adolescents and young adults. I have had the pleasure of working with people of diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My professional journey has allowed me to help those facing various stressors and obstacles, including challenges with mood disruptions, perfectionism, anxiety, emotional regulation, and self-worth.

I welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you, moving forward at your own pace.

I love engaging in anything creative, including painting, crochet, and sculpting. Hiking through woodsy areas and on trails brings me joy, especially when I have one of my labradors by my side. I also enjoy experimenting with gluten-free baking, with my current favorite being cinnamon rolls. A fun fact about me is that I enjoy Slalom water skiing, which my dad taught me how to do!

  • I began my work in behavioral health in 2023, supporting adults with developmental differences as they build greater independence. Since then, I have worked in outpatient nonprofit and educational settings. In these roles, I was able to support people navigating various obstacles, from life stressors to complex mental health disorders. I have supported adolescents and adults, providing therapy for a range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.

Currently, I am training in play therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy.  My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from West Chester University and Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University.

  • Life is demanding, fast-paced, and at times, overwhelming, which can leave you feelinglike you’re struggling to stay afloat, let alone thrive. Whether you’re facing the challenges of everyday stressors, want to make a change but don’t know how, or need a voice of warmth and compassion, therapy is the place where you can take off your mask and relieve yourself of the pressure to say “I’m fine.”

My goal as a therapist is to form a relationship with you based on mutual trust, collaboration, empathy, and nonjudgement. I use a person-centered approach with a strong emphasis on strengths and values. Your lived experiences make you a unique individual and as such, treatment will be custom-tailored to focus on what matters to you the most. I believe that you already have within you the ability to live an authentic, empowered, and self-directed life. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, but rather about breaking down barriers and exploring what it is that you need to grow.

I work with individuals of all ages and all walks of life. Throughout my experience as a counselor, I’ve worked with children, specifically those with behavioral difficulties or developmental differences, adolescents, individuals with addictions and substance use concerns, adults involved in the justice system, and adults who have experienced trauma.

You’ve made the brave choice to ask for help. You don’t have to walk this path alone anymore. Come as you are, and I will meet you where you’re at.

In my free time, I enjoy collaging, DIY projects, puzzles, and video games. I especially love springtime because it gives me a chance to work in my garden and go for nature walks. I have a dog and a cat who never fail to put a smile on my face.

  • I graduated from James Madison University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in criminal justice. From there, I provided behavioral therapy for children in their homes, communities, and schools for 5 years. I graduated from Immaculata University in 2024 with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a certificate in Addiction Studies for Therapeutic Practice. Since 2020, I’ve been an advocate with the Eating Disorder Coalition, an organization that promotes public awareness of eating disorders through advocating for legislation and policy changes to provide increased access to treatment and fund research.

how does the therapy process work?

First, we meet with the individual, couple, or family in order to assess strengths and needs and also identify which type of therapy would best fit their needs. We customize our therapeutic approach based on each client, utilizing various forms of therapy. That said, when clients have a specific type of therapy that they are requesting, such as EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for instance, we are happy to utilize their preferred method. We see therapy as a collaborative process that we adjust and modify together as needed. Our office includes a separate playroom area for kids of all ages, and we offer sessions both in person and virtually.
